The River Eden meanders through Cliftonhill. It is a tributory of the Tweed. There are lots of lovely places for picnics and paddling and catching minoes or even a trout! There is nothing to disturb you but perhaps a kingfisher darting up the Eden in a blaze of colour. For a map of the River walk please go to the Cliftonhiill section of www.kelsocottages.co.uk . A barn owl nests here at Cliftonhill and it is a lovely site to see the family flying around. They live in the Barn beside the cottages and the big tree at the bottom of the bumpy road. Since we are organic there is no chemical spraying so there is only the freshest of Border air. |
